As Executive Director of Reading To Be Ready ensuring our young learners have proper academic support is close to my heart. I am a literacy expert with a Doctorate in Education and over 25 years of experience working with children from Pre-K to Grade 8. I have success in improving reading levels above current grade levels, using research-based assessments and customized instruction. I have served in the capacity of Kindergarten and Elementary Teacher, Teacher Mentor, Literacy Supervisor and Coach, Elementary and Middle school administrator, and District Director of Early Childhood in Title 1 school districts, and low achieving and performing schools. I am skilled and experienced with using assessment tools for data analysis, curriculum design, curriculum instruction, and designing instructional intervention plans having a positive trajectory effect on student achievement.
